For once our “gut-feeling” – plus, of course, high sale statistics etc., paid off. Prior to our listing with Sandy, we had heard many stories of gloom on the present condition of the real estate market here in Canberra, however, our experience suggested this is not always so.

When we decided to sell our house, I did a lot of homework. I read the sales results, tracked several agents and attended auctions. Finally I narrowed my decision down to two agents. One of the agents has a very impressive sales record and I had had several consultations with her, always concluding that she would be the one I chose. But then I decided to more actively consider Sandy Morris. During the first few minutes of that interview, I had changed my mind: Sandy would be the agent I entrusted to sell our house. Both agents had impressive credentials but I found Sandy to be warmer, more approachable and very knowledgeable. I had been advised by the other agent to totally de-clutter the house while Sandy advised me to leave on display the articles that gave character to our house rather than make it appear that no one actually lived here.
The decision to contract with Sandy proved to be the right one. During the entire sales period, Sandy was always available to answer my questions and to soothe my nerves. She is a very “hands on” agent; in responding to some of my questions, instead of giving advice, she simply did what others would have advised me to do. A small example: when I asked what plants I should add to the garden to enhance its appearance, Sandy went out and obtained the plants, delivered them to me and indicated where they should be placed for maximum effect.
Sandy’s advice was always simple but totally comprehensive. We had planned to go to auction but after on 2½ weeks on the market, she brought us an offer that we felt we shouldn’t refuse. The offer was for the price we wanted and the long settlement period we needed. We have never regretted taking her advice on that offer.
I would strongly recommend Sandy Morris to any vendor who wants to have sound advice, clear, succinct and relevant communication on the state of the sales campaign and the confidence that she is working for the vendor rather than for the purchaser or simply to achieve her commission.
No sooner was my home listed on Allhomes when my phone barked at me with numerous realtors enquiring as to why I gave Sandy Morris the responsibility of selling my property.
On reflection they were fair questions and I now have much delight in sharing my thoughts with you. First, I felt totally relaxed in her company and at no time ever felt under any pressure. Second, Sandy displayed a degree of professionalism that I have rarely experience in all my years within the real estate industry. Having been General Manager of the REIACT for eight years this speaks volumes for her. Third, in all our meetings Sandy was always positive. A far cry from a great many of my industry folk who insist on talking the market down.
Now during the course of selling my home I could not have experience a more relaxed or stress free marketing experience. All facets progressed smoothly and without any hiccups.
